Ephemeral Forms is a series of fine art photographs by Marion Rodgers that explores the fragile beauty of flowers through abstraction and in-camera experimentation. Rather than recording botanical subjects as they appear, Marion transforms them into expressive forms that exist somewhere between reality and imagination.

Working entirely in camera, Marion deliberately distorts her subjects during exposure. The resulting images dissolve familiar outlines and replace literal description with movement, texture and atmosphere. Flowers become fluid shapes that invite emotional rather than descriptive responses.

Ephemeral Forms: Beyond Representation

Each photograph begins with a real flower, yet the finished image moves beyond straightforward representation.
